Kathleen Louise “Kathy” Hannah, a lifelong resident of Glendale, California, passed away
peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on May 8, 1942, in Glendale,
where she spent her entire life on the very block she first called home.
Kathy was deeply rooted in her community and built a life defined by strength, warmth, and
unwavering faith. She was sweet and truthful, never afraid to speak her mind, and those who
knew her admired her honesty, resilience, and steadfast character.
She was married to her beloved husband, Richard Hannah, and was a devoted mother to her
sons, Christopher and Jeffrey. Her love extended richly to her grandchildren—Noah, Genevieve,
Kate, Jack, Conor, and Eric—and to her great-granddaughter, Lucy, who brought her immense
pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth MacArthur.
She was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in caring for her home and family. In
addition to raising her family, she worked as an orthodontic assistant for several years and
briefly fulfilled a creative passion by painting animation cels for Walt Disney Studios. She had a
love for art, beauty, and detail that showed in everything she did.
Kathy had a remarkable gift for hospitality. Her home was always immaculate and open, a place
where friends, family, and even strangers were welcomed with generosity and care. She had a
way of making everyone feel at ease, ensuring no one ever left her home without feeling seen
and valued.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Kathy’s relationship with Jesus guided her in all things,
and she was a devoted and active member of multiple church communities throughout her life.
Her faith was not only something she believed, but something she lived daily through her
kindness, service, and love for others.
Kathy will be remembered for her strength, her open heart, and the sense of comfort she
brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless
lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Church of the Hills (White Church), located on
Evergreen Drive in Los Angeles, on April 25, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a wake in
Glendale.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Firepoint Church Inc., P.O. Box 429, Sunland,
CA 91041, in Kathy’s honor.
