Karla Ochoa, 39, born on September 07, 1986 in Pasadena, CA, United States, after fighting like a warrior for 9 years lost her battle against aggressive cancer and passed away August 02, 2026. She resided in Granada Hills, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Glendale, CA.

Karla lived a vibrant happy life filled with deep love for her by her family. She had a caring, kind heart, a bright spirit and her sweet smile was part of her daily attire.

Her faith and love for God were essential in her life. She passed away peacefully and with the firm believe that she was going to eternal life.

She is survived by her parents Norma and Jairo, her son Logan, her brothers, Jairo Jr. and Fabian, her sister Aysha, several other relatives and close friends.

She Graduated from Trinity Lutheran High School and graduated from Brandman University with the Bachelor of Arts, Major in Early Childhood and Child Development Site Supervisor. She worked in Little Shepherd, now Heritage Pre school as a teacher for 7 years and as an Assisting Director for 5 years during her tenure. She had a deep loved for all the the children, parents, all her co-workers she had the opportunity to work with. Karla always expressed how much she loved her job and felt very blessed to be part of the Heritage Pre School family.

She enjoyed music, dancing, spending time out doors, at the river, at the beach, at the mountains. But most of all she loved her trips companion, Logan. The time and the memories she created with her son were the most valuable for her. She was the most caring daughter any parents could have wished for and the best mother to Logan. Karla was an amazing human being, her laughter and joy brought light to everyone around her.

Service Information

The service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at: Forest Lawn Cemetery Glendale, 

1712 S. Glendale Ave. Glendale Ca. 91205

Visitation and viewing 

 11:00 am -12:30 pm.  Cemetery front main Office: Room 4, 5,

Finger food/Lunch, Coffee, Tea and Refreshments will be serve 12:00pm-1:30pm next room to the visitation and viewing room

Church Service 

2:30 pm- 3:30pm. "Little Church of the Flowers" ( in the Cemetery)  The Church will be open at 2:00pm
