Karla Maria Lara passed away on January 8, 2023 in Monterey Park, CA at the age of 50, following a valiant battle with brain cancer. Karla was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on March 12,1972 to Betty Lopez. She was the most selfless, loving, and beautiful soul you'll ever meet. She was always full of life and joy. She was kind, thoughtful, and caring, and was the person that was there for you no matter what. She was an amazing and devoted mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister -in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was passionate about her work at Para Los NiÃ±os, where her colleagues became her bestfriends. She is survived by her only daughter, Michelle; her three brothers, Carlos, Marlon, and Luis; and her nieces and nephews. She will be forever loved and missed.
