Karen Dee Rockwell passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born in Porterville, California on May 26, 1944, to Alfred and Mary (Demarcus) Marone. From an early age, her love of life, wisdom and determination were evident and present throughout her life. She was a graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School and married the love of her life Jack Rockwell on April 20, 1963. Together they shared more than 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family. 

Karen was a world-renowned expert in antique dolls. A highly respected figure in the field, she was a leader in the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC), serving in multiple leadership roles, including UFDC president. Her expertise and passion earned her widespread recognition, attracting the attention of celebrities, media outlets, and fellow collectors alike. 

Karen was a woman of wisdom, honesty, and unwavering support. She had a gift for seeing people for who they truly were and providing the guidance they needed—whether they were family, friends, or even strangers who sought her insight. She helped many, including extended family members, find their own paths to healing and strength. 

Karen Rockwell is survived by her loving husband, Jack Rockwell; her children, Kimberly Clark, Kelly Conway, Kris Read-Rockwell (Trudie), and Michael Rockwell (Genette); her 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

 Karen was predeceased by her father, Alfred Marone, her mother, Mary Marone, her brother Don Marone, her daughter, Harriet Rockwell, her daughter, Rosella, and her son Alfred Rockwell, 

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on January 31, 2025, at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City, California.
