Kai Lon Ng

Kai Lon Ng, 83, born on September 18, 1940, in Guandong, China, passed away July 25, 2024. 

As a young man, Kai left for the big city of Hong Kong to find work.  There, he met his wife and started his family.  In 1972, he and his family immigrated to the States for the American Dream with the help of his "Uncle Bill" and his wife Doris of Las Vegas, Nevada.

After a time, Kai and his growing family settled in Los Angeles, living in Chinatown, and then eventually purchasing a house in Highland Park after many years owning and operating the successful New Queen Beauty Salon with his wife.  He became a U.S. citizen in the late 70s.  After a couple of years, Kai purchased his first new American car. 

A hardcore L.A. Lakers fan, he often had his children record the games for him on VHS so he could watch it when he came home from a long day at the salon.

He resided in Los Angeles, CA at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife, three adult children, and three grandsons.  Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA.
