Julius Fernandez De Guzman

Engr. Julius "Joy" Fernandez de Guzman was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He left this world on December 11, 2020 at age 67.
Joy was born to Daniel and Esperanza de Guzman on April 12, 1953, in Basista, Pangasinan, Philippines. After he completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Pangasinan, Dagupan City, Philippines, he married the love of his life, Charito. Together, they had 4 children: Claire, Harold, Mutya, and Raina; and 3 grandchildren: Samantha, Marcus, and Riley.
Joy chased his dream to give his family a better future by working abroad as an Engineer and relocated his family to the USA and worked as a nurse.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Joy. He loved an evening with family and friends with a glass of Johnny Walker Blue Label in hand. He was always the life of the party, always the first on the dance floor dancing and singing one of his favorite songs "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. He was always there for his family and friends when they needed help.
He resided in Hacienda Heights, CA at the time of his passing. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 9:30 am on December 31, 2020 at the Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
