Julio Amador Sr

Julio Amador Sr was born on January 07, 1930, in Gonzales, Texas to Augustin & Elena Amador.  He married Maria Amador on March 16, 1949 and they were blessed with eight children.  For several years the family traveled  through different states as migrant farm workers, lived at the Farm Labor camp for ten years in Indio Ca and finally settled in Coachella California where he purchased his home.  Julio Amador worked at Cal-Date in Indio, Ca for thirty years, his highlight of conversation was talking about the different types of dates.

Julio Amador started his relationship with The Lord at the Indio Apostolic Church in 1978.  He was baptized in The name of Jesus by Pastor Luciano Montes Jr., on January 1, 1986 where he remained a life long active member.

Julio passed away on January 30, 2024 at the age of 94, in his home in Coachella, California.

 Julio was preceded in death by his wife Maria Amador, his son Joe Amador, his father Augustin Amador, his mother Elena Amador, his sisters - Sara Rodriguez, Angelita Garcia and Consuleo Amador. 

He is survived by his seven  children, Rosemary Silva, Julio Amador Jr., Richard Amador, Gilbert Amador, Alfredo Amador, Jesse Amador and Jaynie Amador.  He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren and seventeen great - great grandchildren.  Also survived by two sisters, Ignacia Rodriguez and MaryLou Luna.  

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
