Julio Garcia

April 11, 1970 — April 30, 2026

Julio Adalberto García (“The Godfather”), age 56, passed away on April 30, 2026. He was born in Los Angeles on April 11, 1970, to Julio Castro and Gladys Garcia. He spent his younger years in the Koreatown neighborhood and lived most of his life in the Los Angeles area with his wife, Mati, son Francisco, and mother Gladys.

Julio had a passion for music, became a DJ, and performed at many events throughout the years. He was a devoted football fan — Raiders all the way. He worked for about 26 years at AME, which later became Point 360, where he became Shipping Manager.

He was an inspiration to many and maintained countless lifelong friendships. Julio had a personality that brought warmth and joy wherever he went and could light up any room. His sense of humor brought laughter to everyone around him, and he will always be remembered for the love and happiness he shared with others.

Julio overcame many obstacles throughout his life and was the recipient of a liver and kidney transplant in 2019. His strength and perseverance touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his wife, Mati García; son, Francisco Garcia; mother, Gladys García; sister, Elsy Monterrosa; brothers, Allen Garcia and Jesse Castro; as well as many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

He will be deeply missed and forever remain in our hearts.
