Julie Bailey

On the night of March 14, 2023, Julie Bailey unexpectedly passed away in hospital at the age of 78. Her daughter was by her side. 

Julie was born in England and grew up in a small town a few miles outside of London. She was just a young adult when she decided to make a major life change and leave Great Britain to emigrate to America. As an avid Beatles fan, she experienced a tiny bit of culture shock when she arrived here to find out people in America did not yet know who the Beatles were.

Julie was intelligent, fun loving, inquisitive and gifted with a unique creativity and artistic talent that, over the years, manifested in a very wide variety of mediums.

After a career in business and some years dedicated to full time motherhood, her passion for learning took her back to school where she discovered a new creative outlet in writing and Journalism. After graduating with a degree, she spent the remainder of her career working at Pierce College in the Media Arts department.

Julie is preceded in death by her mother Ann and survived by her daughter Sonya. She also leaves behind treasured friends.

A visitation will be held from 4PM to 8PM on April 24th, 2023 at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. A memorial service will be held at 10AM on April 25th at St. Charles Borromeo church in North Hollywood followed by a graveside service at  Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills (11:45am). Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA.
