Julian Bongat

Julian Bongat, 45, born on April 25, 1976, in Long Beach, CA, United States, passed away September 28, 2021. He resided in Rancho Dominguez, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Julian was an avid gamer who was fortunate enough to turn his passion into a career. He was a collector of retro games and consoles and he shared his love of gaming with his friends and family. He especially enjoyed challenging his nieces and nephews during video game battles including Guitar Hero, Super Mario Brothers and Mortal Kombat. He was blessed to work for Nintendo, Activision, Western Digital and Blizzard where he made fast friends with his charismatic and witty personality. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of vast subjects with enthusiasm and a genuine heart of a teacher. Along with his love of gaming, he enjoyed MMA and studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, earning a red belt in this craft. This allowed him to teach a sport he excelled in and thoroughly enjoyed-passing much of this knowledge to his nephews along the way.

Yes, Julian was a competitive individual, but behind that competitive nature, there was a generous, free spirit who always had a snappy remark to make you laugh when feeling down. He was an artist (even drew his own Ninja Turtles characters), and a writer. He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, brother, uncle and son. His kindness had no limits and if ever he became angry, there was always a lesson being taught out of love.

The world's light dimmed when he moved to eternity, but his brilliance now shines in the heavens for all to see.

Julian is survived by his wife Lynin and their pets, his siblings; Mary Angeline (Michael) Libby, Jaime Jr (Tracey) and Justin, his nephews; John (Monica), Michael Sr. (Louisa), and Richard (Marissa) Molina, his nieces; Rose Molina, Emily Bongat (Abraham) Larson, Ella Bongat and his loving parents, Jaime Sr. and Aida Bongat and countless friends who became family.
