Julia Elizabeth Parker

Julia Elizabeth Parker, 70, born on May 7, 1946 to Chris and Hilda Trost in Pigeon, Michigan, went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2016. Julie graduated from Lakers High School in Pigeon, Michigan and Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation , she moved to California and was employed in the insurance industry. She married Don Parker in 1975 and worked with him in building and running their insurance company, AIC, for many years. She was a member of Church on the Way in Van Nuys, CA and was a leader of a women's group there. She went on many international mission trips with Triumph in Christ Ministries, including trips to Australia, Belize, Bulgaria, England, India, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. In her leisure time, Julie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travel, reading and shopping. Julie will be remembered for her kind, joyful, and very generous spirit.

She is survived by her husband Don, two sisters and three brothers: Elaine Trost Jerbi, Lou Ann Trost, Hilmar Trost, Marvin (Alice) Trost, and Roger (Carol) Trost, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California with one half hour of visitation prior to the service.
