Judy Ogunji, 67, born on September 05, 1956, in San Francisco, CA, United States, to John and Gladys Watts. She was a happy baby that was vivacious and engaging from an early age. The early days at Ravenswood were spent laughing and many adventures with her 5 siblings. After finishing high school in the Bay Area it was time for Judy to explore the world. She moved to Los Angeles to begin school and moved in with her sister Sharon Winton. Judy and Sharon's bond and connection was a thing of beauty. They moved seamlessly through various phases of life including motherhood education health and everything else they could share. The three musketeers was formed when their younger sister Debra moved to Los Angeles. These three peas in a pod could be found talking on the phone, taking trips, seeking advice from one another, they even got dread locks one after another. Judy found a passion within her profession serving as the Director for the WIC program in Long Beach for 37 years. Her deep seeded love for helping others shone brightly as she built several familial traditions centered on exceptional customer service. Judy's loving ways were not strictly in the work place. She was a phenomenal mother who spared no expense to provide her two sons Alex and Justin with a great education and foundation for life. Justin and Alex played instruments, sports, attending summer camps, and traveled the world. Some of the passions Judy loved were taking trips, going to day spas, baths, days at the beach, exercising, health seminars, and cooking. The big family gatherings were always something Judy planned and enjoyed thoroughly. She would be quick to organize an impromptu talent show singing her favorite songs at the top of her lungs. After becoming a grandmother she found a love for nurturing and showing her grandkids the world. They would enjoy time at the beach or pumpkin patch. Judy was kind and welcoming to all even if she just met you and her love language was feeding you. If you stayed at Judy's house there would be breakfast whenever you arose for the day. Her specialities were cornbread, dressing, and her special made breakfast croissants. Judy's smile and laugh were infectious. If you interacted with her you would definitely smile and enjoy a moment filled with laughter. Judy valiantly fought brain cancer for years before passing away June 25, 2024 surrounded by family and friends in her beautiful home in Carson, CA. She is survived by her two sisters, her brother, and her mother. Lets celebrate the impact she had on so many lives by smiling and embracing the joy of bringing people together and helping them flower as individuals.
