Juanito Romano, 75, was born on February 28, 1951, in Mindanao Philippines, where he was raised before coming to the United States in 1984. He passed away on September 27, 2026, while residing in Anaheim, California, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring both tears and smiles for years to come.
Juanito shared 54 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maria Fe. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, love, and family. He was a devoted father to Jhoanna Romano Roubedeaux and her husband, Dennis Roubedeaux; Dionne Romano Austin and her husband, Kristopher Austin; and Jimmy Romano and his wife, Jeri Hansmann Romano.
One of Juanito’s greatest joys was being Lolo to his seven grandchildren: Deanna Marie, Johnny Ray, Denise Reese, Aydin Michael, Lily Paige, Audrey Sofia, and Bodhi Ray. He loved his grandchildren dearly and took great pride in watching his family grow. His love for his family could be felt in both the big moments and the smallest everyday ones.
A man of strong faith, Juanito attended OC Grace Church, where he also shared his love of singing as part of the choir. His faith remained an important part of who he was throughout his life and was a source of strength and comfort to him.
Those fortunate enough to know Juanito will remember a man who was outgoing, social, funny, and full of life. He loved playing golf, gardening, singing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a way of bringing his own warmth and personality into every gathering, and celebrations simply will not feel quite the same without him.
Birthdays, especially, were never complete until Juanito sang “Happy Birthday” and stretched out his signature ending—“And many moooooore.” It was a small tradition, but one that became unmistakably his. His family will forever hear his voice in those words and remember him with a smile.
He enjoyed good food, laughter, conversation, and time spent with the people he loved. He didn’t need an extraordinary occasion to enjoy life; some of his happiest moments were simply being surrounded by family.
Juanito was the kind of person whose presence became part of the rhythm of his family’s life. His voice, his humor, the questions he always asked, the songs he sang, and the little things he did so often that no one imagined having to miss them someday are now some of the memories his family will hold closest.
While his absence leaves an immeasurable space in the family he loved so dearly, there is comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and is at peace. His family will remember him as he truly was—full of personality, faith, humor, love, and life.
Itoy’s life was measured not only by the years he lived, but by the people he loved and the life he built with them. He leaves behind 54 years of marriage, a family that grew across generations, countless memories, and traditions that will continue to carry pieces of him forward.
Juanito treasured his village, and he was deeply loved in return. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all those who were blessed to call him a husband, da, lolo, brother, son, brother-in-law, tito, friend and a brethren.
