Juan Perez

Juan Perez, a devoted family man and longtime resident of Lakewood, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, just days shy of his 95th birthday. He was born on November 24, 1930, in Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico.

Juan will be remembered for his kind heart, his stubborn spirit, and his silly sense of humor that brought light to everyone around him. He lived a full life centered on his family and his simple, enjoyable daily rituals.

A man of habit and happiness, Juan loved his daily game of solitaire and was a familiar and beloved figure in his neighborhood, known for riding his tricycle to the local store to buy lotto tickets. He was a gifted storyteller who cherished the opportunity to share the tales of his life with anyone who would sit and listen.

Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, not only because it fell so close to his birthday, but also because of his great love for food. A tradition cherished by his family was his annual request for an entire apple pie—his favorite dessert—all to himself.

Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen, his loving children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA.
