Joyce M. (columbro) Montgomery

Haverhill, MA: Joyce M. (Columbro) Montgomery, 69, a resident of Haverhill for several years and a former resident of Kingston, NH, died February 2, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and following a long illness.

Born in Revere, MA and raised is East Boston and Chelsea, daughter of the late Umberto and Maria (Taschetta) Columbro, she attended Chelsea High School.

Joyce enjoyed taking trips to the beach, boating, and fishing. She also loved animals and took in many stray pets. An avid Red Sox fan, she also enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods.

She was predeceased by her husband, David Montgomery, and is survived by her son, David C. Montgomery of Boston, her daughter, Montene M. Montgomery of Billerica, her life partner, Susan Dame of Haverhill, two brothers, Edward Columbro of Spring Hill, FL and Robert Columbro of Harrisburg, NC, two sisters, Linda Bozzi of Saugus, and Rita Vogel of Spring Hill, FL, a grandson, John Anthony Montgomery, a great granddaughter, Aubree Hope Dias, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Genaro Columbro, and her sisters, Alberta Indingaro and Vita Dern.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joyce's Life Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 12 to 2:45 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
