Joyce A. (baxter) Kneeland

Kingston, NH: Joyce A. (Baxter) Kneeland, 77, a resident of Kingston for fifty years died on June 6, 2016 at her home.

Born, raised, and educated in Amesbury, MA, daughter of the late Horace Baxter, she graduated from Amesbury High School with the Class of 1957. She later went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from New Hampshire College and completed her Master's Degree in Business Management.

Mrs. Kneeland was employed at Wester Electric, AT&T Technologies, and Lucent Technologies for many years. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America and served as the Secretary for the CWA Local 1365. She was later promoted to Labor Relations Manager, a position she held until her retirement.

Mrs. Kneeland was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW of Kingston. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed collecting recipes and putting together her own cookbooks. Mrs. Kneeland was also an accomplished organist and enjoyed all types of music.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward H. Kneeland, and her daughter Darcie A. Menard, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Earl E. and Pam Kneeland of Plaistow, two brothers, Alan Baxter of New Hampshire, and Horace "Hawk" Baxter of Florida, three granddaughters, Katelyn Kneeland, Kristen Kneeland, and Karen Menard, and two great grandchildren, Kyrel Yap and Cyle Yap-Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston, NH.
