Jovita Edinger

Jovita Edinger, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her family, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on February 15, 1934, in the Philippines, she lived a rich and fulfilling life that revolved around her family and loved ones.

Jovita was married to Dieter Edinger for 61 wonderful years. Their partnership was a testament to love and dedication, nurturing a family that brought much joy and pride to her life. She is survived by her husband, Dieter, along with her loving children, Melinda Martin, Jeannie Meyers, Raymond Zabresky, as well as her grandson Patrick Zabresky. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were fortunate to know and love her.

Throughout her life, Jovita was known for her kind and loving nature, demonstrating strength in all her endeavors. Among her many interests, she particularly enjoyed playing cards with family during gatherings and challenged her mind with Scrabble on her iPad. These simple moments brought her immense happiness and fostered connections among her loved ones.

Jovita's life will be honored during a visitation on January 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress in Hope Chapel, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.

A funeral mass service will follow on January 5, 2026, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, starting at 11:00 AM, at 3954 Palo Verde Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90808. A procession to a graveside burial service after the mass will travel to Forest Lawn located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630 placing Jovita to rest in peace.
