Joseph P Ramirez

Joseph Paul Ramirez, 41 of Indio, CA passed away surrounded by family on December 2nd, 2023. Joseph was born in Indio, CA to Joe Jr. and Patricia Ramirez on September 4, 1982. The youngest of the 5 Ramirez children, Joseph became a showman, pulling pranks, playing guitar, singing and showing off his imitations. 

Joseph would spend hours perfecting his skills during little league, as a Varsity Baseball player for Coachella Valley High School and the University of Redlands. His glove at 1st, his arm on the mound and his giant left handed swing made him the player any coach could count on.

Joseph graduated top 10 at CVHS and earned a Bachelor’s of Computer Science from the University of Redlands, leading to a 20 year career in Information Technology, ending his career as a Share Point Developer at Sycuan Casino with a team that he truly loved.

Joseph met his soulmate Megan Choate playing co-ed softball in 2004. On their first date she knew this was the man she would marry. They married in 2007 and raised 3 beautiful children, running between performances, baseball, softball, tennis matches and awards nights. Joseph coached multiple baseball/softball teams, becoming a mentor to many young men and women. He also played a large role in helping to mentor his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Joe Ramirez Jr. and his Grandparents Joe Sr. & Carmen Ramirez, and Luke & Vera Gonzales. He is survived by his loving wife Megan; his 3 children D’Artagnan, Vivica and Verina; his mother Patricia; siblings Carmen, Alicia, Matthew and Lena; beloved in laws;10 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and nephews and a many aunts, uncles and cousins.
