Joseph York Lin

Joseph York Lin, 85, born on March 31, 1934, in Shanghai, China, passed away January 9, 2020 in South Orange County, CA. His primary residence was in Pomona, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Joseph worked as a reconciliation department supervisor for Security Pacific National Bank which later merged with Bank of America. But his heart belonged to God. Joseph was an honorary pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Los Angeles. For years, he happily volunteered his time for God. After he retired from the bank, Joseph became an Ordained Minister with the Church of the Nazarene and became Reverend Joseph Y. Lin. It is not common for a person to be ordained later in life but the Church of the Nazarene recognized his many years as a volunteer in the 1970s and 1980s. The church made a special exception.

All his days, Joseph served the Lord faithfully. I am very sure that when he went to Heaven, Jesus Christ said, "Joseph, a good and faithful servant, come and enjoy your eternal perfect rest." --Marian Hwang (eldest sister)
