Joseph F. Galm, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 24th, 2026, at the age of 86. He will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him. We will miss those blue eyes, the sound of his voice, his great sense of humor, and his unconditional love.
Joe was born on March 22nd, 1939, on a chilly spring day in Buffalo, New York. His parents, Frank & Dorothy Galm were excited for his birth, as he was to be their only boy. He also had three big sisters awaiting his arrival. He grew up in Buffalo with his family, and this is where he became a life-long Buffalo Bills fan. This is also where he met his first wife, Grace. Together in Buffalo, they built a family, welcoming three children, one son and two daughters. In 1966, they made the decision to move from snowy Buffalo all the way to sunny Southern California. There, they completed their family with the birth of another daughter. Joe was a wonderful dad and worked hard to provide for his family. He worked for Continental Data Graphics for over 20 years, before eventually retiring.
After life took him in a new direction, Joe found a second chance at love with his wife, Janet. They were married for 42 beautiful years. Together they shared a life filled with simple joys - traveling, spending time with family, taking long walks, and caring for their beloved pets. Together, they opened their hearts to many dogs and cats over the years. Animals brought him much joy throughout his life and he loved them all. But, most of all, he loved his wife, Janet. They were truly inseparable.
Joe had a great sense of humor. Always one to crack a joke. He made his wife Janet laugh every day. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his wife, his four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His warm smile and kind spirit made everyone feel welcomed and loved. In his younger years, Joe enjoyed playing weekly golf with friends. He loved watching the Angels play baseball and, of course, cheering for his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills. Maybe they will finally win a Super Bowl for him this year. Go Bills!
Everyone who knew Joe would agree that he was truly one of a kind – a great man in every sense. He lived a life full of love and laughter. He loved his family dearly, as we did him. He will be deeply missed every single day, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
