Joseph A. Gage – Boston, MA

Joseph A. Gage, 32 of South Boston, MA formerly of Newton, NH passed away in a tragic accident on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.  Joseph was born in Manchester, NH to Steven J. Gage and Jane R. (Hughes) Gage.  Joe attended Sanborn Regional High School and then continued his education at the University of Hartford, where he earned a B.S. in Mathematics, Minors in Spanish & Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude.  He achieved his Actuarial Fellowship, FCAS, and MAAA while working at Liberty Mutual.  He was currently employed as the U.S./Canada Property Pricing Actuary for AIG.
Joe loved life, and lived every day to the fullest.  His infectious smile and selfless acts touched everyone he came in contact with.  Joe sought perfection in everything he did.  He had a gentle soul and always made everyone feel accepted and loved.
Joe was a member and advocate of the gay community.  He loved to travel and visited many countries, most recently Italy.  Joe's hobbies included playing guitar, working out at Crossfit Southie and volleyball. He served as Treasurer of the CVBA volleyball league and also participated in NAGVA tournaments across the country.
Joe is survived by his parents, Gregory and Jane (Hughes) Boulanger of Newton, NH, and Steven and Maura Gage of Barrington, NH, his three brothers, Daniel and James Gage of Lewiston, ME and Ronald Boulanger of Newton, NH, and by his maternal grandparents Howard and Lorraine Hughes of Berwick, ME and Carol Krylow of Pensacola, FL.  Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones also survive him.
A "Celebration of Life" service for Joe was held on Sunday, January 6th, at the Rockingham Ballroom. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services for Joe on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at the Highland Cemetery, 45 Highland Street, Newton, NH 03858.  There will be an open microphone for anyone who wishes to speak.
