Jose Trejo

In loving memory of Jose Francisco Trejo, a man whose strong spirit and gentle heart touched the lives of many. He was born on August 1, 1966, in Sonsonate, El Salvador, where he began his remarkable journey through life. Tragically, he departed from this world on February 28, 2024, in West Covina, CA, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
 
Jose was a man of many talents and interests. From his days at Franklin High School as the skilled goalkeeper of the varsity soccer team to his proud accomplishments as a volunteer lifeguard for Cruz Verde Salvadorena at an early age, he exhibited a passion for sports and a dedication to helping others. His love for swimming led him to conquer long distances in the vast ocean, displaying both his physical strength and unwavering determination. Jose became a husband and father at the age of 20, marrying Yolanda Gomez whom he met at Franklin High School, together they had three sons: Joseph, Andrew, and Kevin. 
 
Jose was known for his amiable personality and infectious sense of humor. Known to be a strong presence on the dance floor of any party. He had an effortless way of making friends wherever he went, always ready with a joke or a kind word to brighten someone's day. His genuine nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. In his leisure time, Jose could often be found spending time with at least one of his three sons. He also enjoyed watching sports, particularly watching a soccer or football game and being around family and friends. His love for music was also well known, often listening to his favorite Rock en Espanol, New Wave, and Alternative Rock music. These simple joys brought him immense pleasure and allowed him to unwind from life's demands. 
 
As Jose peacefully passed surrounded by his loving family; it is evident that his memory will live on through the bonds he forged with those closest to him. Though he may no longer be physically present among us, his spirit continues to inspire and bring comfort to all who carry his memory in their hearts.
 
The services to honor Jose Francisco Trejo's life will be held at Forest Lawn - Glendale in California. A Visitation will take place on March 19 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service starting at 5:00 PM in the Little Church of the Flowers. 
 
We bid farewell to a beloved soul whose light will forever shine brightly in our hearts. May Jose rest in peace knowing he was loved deeply and will never be forgotten.


En memoria de José Francisco Trejo, un hombre con espíritu fuerte y gran corazón toco la vida de muchos. Nació el 1 de agosto de 1966 en Sonsonate, El Salvador, donde inició su notable viaje por la vida. Trágicamente, partió de este mundo el 28 de febrero de 2024 en West Covina, CA, dejando atrás un legado de amor y risas que siempre será apreciado por todos que lo conocieron.
 
José era un hombre de muchos talentos e intereses. En su juventud mostró pasión y dedicación para ayudar a los demás siendo salvavidas voluntario de la Cruz Verde Salvadorena. Tambien mostró pasión por los deportes desde sus días en Franklin High School como el portero del equipo de fútbol. Su amor por la natación lo llevó a conquistar largas distancias en el mar, haciendo gala de su fuerza física y su inquebrantable determinación. José se convirtió en esposo y padre a la edad de 20 años, casándose con Yolanda Gómez a quien conoció en Franklin High School, juntos tuvieron tres hijos: Joseph, Andrew y Kevin. 
 
José era conocido por su personalidad amable y su contagioso sentido del humor. Conocido por tener una fuerte presencia en la pista de baile de cualquier fiesta. Tenía una manera sencilla de hacer amigos donde quiera, siempre listo con un chiste o una palabra amable para alegrarle el día a alguien. Su naturaleza genuina lo hizo querer por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. En su tiempo libre, se podía encontrar a José pasando tiempo con al menos uno de sus tres hijos. También le gustaba ver deportes, en particular ver un partido de fútbol o fútbol americano y estar rodeado de familiares y amigos. Su amor por la música también era bien conocido, escuchando a su música favorita de Rock en Español, New Wave y Rock Alternativo. Estas alegrías sencillas le proporcionaron un inmenso placer y le permitieron desconectarse de las exigencias de la vida.
 
José fallecio tranquilamente rodeado de su amada familia; su recuerdo perdurará a través de los vínculos que forjó con sus seres más cercanos. Aunque ya no esté físicamente presente entre nosotros, su espíritu continúa inspirando y brindando consuelo a todos los que llevan su recuerdo en sus corazones.
 
Los servicios en honor a la vida de José Francisco Trejo se llevarán a cabo en Forest Lawn - Glendale en California. Se llevará a cabo un velorio el 19 de marzo de 11:00 a. m. a 3:00 p. m. seguido de un funeral a partir de las 5:00 p. m. en la Pequeña Iglesia de las Flores.
 
Nos despedimos de un alma amada cuya luz brillará para siempre en nuestros corazones. Que José descanse en paz sabiendo que fue amado profundamente y nunca será olvidado.
