Jose "Peping" Sardido

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jose “Peping” Gonzales Sardido on Oct. 14, 2024 at the age of 86. 

 A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandpa, uncle and brother, Peping was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines on May 4, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria, son Ferdinand, daughter-in-law Geraldine, son Noel and daughter in law, Nelia. He has four grandchildren Neil (wife Elizabeth), Nicole (husband Randee); Mark (wife Jennifer) and John (wife Erin). He has seven great grandchildren: Kevin, Andrew, Hannah, Nixon, Jet, Emi and Renee. He is also survived by his older sister Leonila, sister-in-law Elenita and many nieces and nephews. 

Peping held several jobs during his lifetime. He worked for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in the Philippines, had a short stint with the U.S. Navy, and travelled around the world as a merchant seaman. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1992 and worked as a security officer for several companies. 

 Peping’s devotion to his family, community and his church will be remembered by all who knew him.

 A memorial service will be observed at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Hope Chapel Forest Lawn, 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress, CA.
