He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sandra Saldivar; sons Justin Jimenez and Stuart Saldivar; Daughter in law Johana Jimenez; grandchildren Mila Jimenez and Jordan Jimenez. Siblings Irma Rodriguez, Brother in law Wenceslao Rodriguez, Beatrice Rodriguez, Manuel Saldivar, Jr., Virginia Saldivar, Mary Terry, Brother in law Ron Terry, Mirta Lerma, Brother in law Mike Lerma, and Peter Saldivar. predeceased by his father Manuel Saldivar, Mother Silvestra Saldivar and sister Juanita Garcia; He had 11 nephews and 9 nieces.
Joe was a 1980 graduate of Coachella Valley High School and served in the United States Arm Forces. He played 4 years of varsity baseball as a catcher for Coachella Valley High School and he was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
