Papa Joe is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart Sally. Together throughout 48 + years of marriage, they had 4 children, Veronica, Jose Jr., Johnny, and Marissa - followed by 13 grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his sister Natividad Sanchez, and many nieces and nephews.
Joe dedicated 33 years of his life to the Coachella Valley Water District, as a heavy equipment operator. He was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Thoughout his life he enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, camping, coaching baseball, but most importantly, spending time with his family.
Greeting Joe in heaven are his parents, brothers Ernesto & George, and his sister Rachel.
A Memorial will be held on:
March 21, 2019 at 1PM
at the home of Joe & Sally Hernandez
