Jose Diaz Jr., 64, born on November 20, 1961, in San Antonio, TX, United States, passed away September 15, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of hard work, and deep devotion to his family.

Joey was the oldest of 11 siblings, stepping into that role with a natural sense of responsibility and protection for his family. As a wonderful and dedicated son, he always made sure his parents knew they were cherished, loved and supported through every season of life.

Joey spent his life working with his hands as a skilled mechanic. If it had an engine, he could fix it. His love for cars wasn't just a career; it was a passion. Whether he was deep under the hood of a project or helping his siblings with their cars, he approached every job with patience, honesty, and pride.

More than anything, Joey was always there for everyone. If a family member or friend needed a helping hand, he showed up without hesitation. He brought a unique warmth wherever he went, possessing a smile that could light up a room. He was the king of goofing around, always finding ways to make people laugh—often with a playful joke and flipping his siblings off just to get a reaction. Beneath all the joking was a man who loved his family,

He is survived by his father Jose Angel Diaz Sr. His brothers, Jesse Diaz, Erasmo Diaz, Roland Diaz, Phillip Diaz, Mark Diaz and Eric Diaz. His sisters, Maria Seaton, Barbara Diaz, Deanna Diaz and Donna Padilla  and his nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends who will miss his joyful, steady presence every single day. 

He was preceded in death by his mom Guadalupe Flores Diaz 

A celebration of his life will be held on Oct 9,2026  at 1:30 pm at 

Forest Lawn Cypress.4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress CA 90630

Pallbearers will be Eric Diaz, Anthony Padilla, Brian Diaz, Phillip Diaz Jr, Joseph Seaton, Oscar Serrano, Kaspar Lopez Jr, and Nathan Seaton
