José "Pepe" Coronel, amado esposo, padre, abuelo, tio y amigo, falleció el 6 de febrero de 2025, a la edad de 77 años en West Covina, California. Nacido el 7 de noviembre de 1947 en Sonora, México, Pepe llevaba consigo un espíritu vibrante que tocó los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron. A lo largo de su vida, Pepe disfrutó de la carretera. Pepe fue predececido por su padre, José Miguel Félix Lemas, su madre, Alicia Padilla Coronel, y su hermano, Alfonso Lemas. Le reciben con los brazos abiertos en la eternidad, donde su alma vibrante brillará para siempre.
Una visita para honrar la vida de Pepe y un rosario se llevará a cabo el 23 de febrero de 2025, de 2:00 PM a 6:00 PM en el cemeterio Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Tribute Center en Covina, CA. El servicio funerario tendrá lugar el 26 de febrero de 2025, a las 12:00, en la Iglesia de Nuestra Herencia del cementerio Forest Lawn - Covina Hills.

Born on November 7, 1947, in Sonora, Mexico, Pepe carried with him a vibrant spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. His journey through life was one filled with laughter, adventure, and a genuine love for those around him.
Throughout his life, Pepe enjoyed the open road. As a dedicated company driver, he was often trusted to care for people and products, making a difference in every journey he undertook. Pepe's charisma and sense of humor made him a favorite among colleagues and friends alike. He lived life to the fullest and was known for his adventurous spirit, which led him to embrace every moment with joy.
Those who had the pleasure of spending time with Pepe will forever cherish memories of him dancing to the classics of Elvis Presley, wearing his signature hats and reading sunglasses, and his incredible knack for storytelling. With a twinkle in his eye, he would captivate audiences, bringing them into the incredible tales of his life. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved truly set him apart.
Pepe's hobbies were as spontaneous as his personality. He reveled in road trips, classic dances of the 50s and 60s, cheering on the Dodgers, trying his luck at slot machines, and celebrating the successes of his children and grandchildren. Each moment spent with his family brought him immeasurable happiness, and he took immense pride in the strong, loving bond they shared. Building a family that embraced life together was one of Pepe's proudest accomplishments—a testament to the love and care he instilled in them through life’s challenges.
Surrounded by his loving wife, Adela Coronel, and his cherished children—Elizabeth, Araceli, and Josesito — Pepe breathed his last, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. He is also survived by his daughter Gabriella Lemas and adoring grandchildren: Angelena Leann Beltran, Emiley Elizabeth Pantoja, Evan Ignacio Pantoja, Melody Ann, Carlos Moreno and Joel Moreno who will carry forward his spirit of adventure and love for life.
Pepe was predeceased by his father, Jose Miguel Felix Lemas, his mother, Alicia Padilla Coronel, and his brother, Alfonso Lemas. They welcome him with open arms in eternity, where his vibrant soul will forever shine.
A visitation to honor Pepe's life will be held on February 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Tribute Center in Covina, CA. His mass and funeral service will follow on February 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of Our Heritage.
Following the funeral service, his children will celebrate the life of their father, Pepe, in Diamond Bar (California).
