Jorge J. Tiglao

Jorge Joven Tiglao, "Jay" to his friends and "Grumpy" to his beloved grandchildren, died peacefully in his sleep on July 24, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 70.
His children remember him as a dedicated father who valued education and pushed his children to accomplish their best. For that, they thank him. His grandchildren will remember him for mercilessly teasing them and letting them eat candy, at any time of day.
Friends and family alike talk about Jay as a gracious and giving host who welcomed all into his home, with a hearty meal and a side of good conversation. You could not leave the table without at least three helpings and a taste of homemade "sawsawan". May he always be known for his humor, hearty laughter, and pride in a perfectly cooked steak.
Jay is survived by his wife Edelwina; children Marty, Miles, Veronica & Alyssa; grandchildren Makai, Ethan, Ali, Naomi, & Kannon; and siblings Teodoro "Buddy", Lani & June.
A small, private memorial is scheduled for August 12 at Forest Lawn-Covina Hills, at which Jay's brother-in-law Pastor Jose Martinez will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Childhope Philippines Foundation, Inc., through Global Giving at
