Jorge Estrada Martinez

Jorge E Martinez "George" "G", 55 years, of Long Beach, California. Died Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. He was the son of Andres Martinez Jr. and Maria de Jesus E Martinez.

George followed his passion he was a member of Artesia High School, Cerritos College, and The University Southern California (USC) Trojan Marching Bands. After graduating college with a culinary arts degree he had a 27 year career in the grocery business.

He loved trains and attending USC Football games. He marched in several Rose Parades with USC, under the direction of Dr. Arthur C. Bartner and a Rose Parade in Portland, Oregon with the Artesia High School Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Ken Dye who is now the director of bands at Notre Dame University. He also had a great knowledge of world wide events and had a fantastic memory who happened to have the love for comics and cartoons too. He also had a love for the Oregon Ducks.

He is lovingly survived by his Mother, Maria de Jesus E Martinez and three brothers Andres III, Raul, Jesus "Chuy", two sisters-in-laws Linda, Sally and a niece and nephew Lauren and Evan, and his roommate Shorty.
