Jorene "Mary" (Schuckman) Myre

Mary was born on 6/6/1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Roy Carl Siefert and Miriam Jeffries Minor. She was taken home by the attending nurse at the age of 3 days and was raised by Francis John and Mary Louise (Fiedeldey) Schuckman. At the age of 3 years she caught Polio, which left her with a slight limp the rest of her life. She lived in Cincinnati until her parents separated. She moved with her mother to both Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Los Angeles, California. At the age of 14 she married Frank Martain and she gave birth to her only child, Cynthia Marie Martain on 4/6/1953. When Cynthia turned 22 months, she was given up for adoption to Jesse Lyndon and Aline Helen (Harrington) Drayer. The Drayer family then moved to Portland, Oregon. In 1977 Jorene and Cynthia were reunited and remained in contact for the rest of her life.

Mary also married Michael Kruta (of Poland) and Henry James Myre (of Texas), who died before her. She was a long time Secretary for Fernholtz Machinery who sold dye casting machines. For the last 18 years she was bedridden with Polio Melitis and was taken care of by her neighbor, Rosemary, and Rosemary's family. Many thanks goes to Rosemary for her kind and gentle care of Mary throughout the years.

Mary was a firm believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and had been a long time member of the Four Square Gospel Church, Angeles Temple. She was a member of their choir and loved to sing to the Lord. When she became bedridden she became a minister and had a telephone ministry with a prayer circle.

On 5/24/2016, Mary died at her home in Los Angeles, CA, at the age of 77 from Polio Melitis and pneumonia. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Marie Drayer, her two grandchildren, Marie and Michael, and her greatgrandchildren Joshua and Jacob; 7 sisters from her mother, Miriam (Miner) Merino, and 3 sisters and 3 brothers from her father, Roy Siefert. She is also survived by the family of her adopted aunt, Elizabeth (Michael) Dollenmayer, of Ohio.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hollywood, where her last two husbands and biological father are buried.
