Johnny Chua Ong

Johnny Chua Ong, a department manager at Orchard Supply Hardware, has joined our creator on February 23rd 2022 at the age of 62 in Gardena, CA.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Melinda Ong; his daughter, Ma Cristine Ong; his mother, Cristina Ong; his sisters, Evangeline Kushida, Aida Ong, and Juliet Sy; his brothers, James Ong, and Jaime Ong; his favorite niece Ranee Jayne; his 3 grandchildren, Alex, Jeri, and Thirdy; and lastly, Jose Lee Jr., and Nardy Navarro whom he embraced like his own children.

Johnny was born in April 23rd 1959 to Ong Kok, and Cristina Ong. He studied in the University of the East in the Philippines majoring in Engineering. He spent most of his adulthood managing their hardware store in Quezon City, and later on migrated to California with his family.

Johnny was blessed to be born in a big, and supportive family. He was the 3rd youngest out of 8 siblings. On September 9th 2005, he finally got to marry his best friend and his love of his life, Melinda. They have been together for 30+ wonderful years, and thrived through all the highest and lows of life.

Johnny was a loving and faithful husband, a selfless brother, a generous uncle, a living calculator, and most of all a one-of-a-kind dad. He enjoyed going to the casino, dining out with his whole family, watching current events and affairs, and most of all.. he enjoyed having conversations with his family.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and everyone who knew him.

A memorial service is scheduled for 09:00 am on April 16th 2022 at Forest Lawn Cypress - at the Church Of Our Fathers.
