John was a resident of Plaistow, New Hampshire at the time of passing.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of the late John and Cecile (Mailloux) Tilton, he attended Haverhill High School, and when younger he was a member of the Haverhill Order of Demolay.
He later served honorably from 1965 until 1967 in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was predeceased by a brother Philip Tilton. At the request of the family, a private prayer service was held with a Chaplain at the hospital, so there will be no further services.
So in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help animals may be given to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844, or at www.mspca.org.
