John Edward Rosenberger
April 29, 1933 – September 30, 2024
John Edward Rosenberger, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 29, 1933, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 91.
A devoted educator, John spent much of his life teaching elementary and middle school students, shaping young minds with care and compassion. His commitment to his faith was equally strong, serving as both the organist and choir director for the Catholic Cathedral Church in Wisconsin, where he uplifted his congregation with music and spirit for many years. John retired from teaching and settled into Palm Springs California , where he met his life partner, Stan Allsup.
John had a passion for life’s simple joys. He loved to travel, attend concerts, and immerse himself in the beauty of the arts. A proud and longstanding member of Alcoholics Anonymous, John celebrated 50 years of sobriety, guiding others toward recovery with the same strength and grace that he carried in his own life. His role as a mentor in the AA community was one of his most cherished contributions.
John leaves behind his partner, Stan Allsup, of 35 years and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
John leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love for life. His dedication to teaching, music, and helping others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
