John Hagop Miskjian

John Hagop Miskjian, 82, born on July 30, 1933 in New York, passed away December 28, 2015. He resided in Los Angeles, California, at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.

Sorry to bear the news of the passing of our Dad John. It is sad to see someone so close pass away but we are thankful for all the memories and experiences that will live on forever. John touched so many people especially through basketball and sports. Although he is no longer with us in flesh his ways and upbringings live through his children, grandchildren and whomever he may have touched. He is now in God's Kingdom of Heaven joined with people so close to him and may he rest in peace.

John was a people person and an organizer. He always had a smile for you. He always tried to bring people together in whatever he was organizing whether it was through the Hyes social group back in the 1950s and 60s or through Homenetmen basketball and other sports back in the 1970s and on.

John was married to Sonia and had four children Janine, Stephan, Johnny, and Jerry. He had four grandchildren whom he loved so much and brought so much joy to him - Jacqueline, Chauncey, Tiffany, and Gregory.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that people make a donation to Homenetmen. We would like to use the money to allow parents who cannot afford membership or tournament fees to allow their kids to play.
