John Luevanos, 86, was on born on August 26, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan. He was raised with 7 other siblings, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters, and had a close family bond with them and his parents. He served bravely in the military for a year and half in World War II in the Philippines. After the war, he studied to be a T.V. technician with the RCA company which took him to travel, and work in California. He worked for 30 years as a T.V. technician, and soon met, and married a beautiful woman named Matilde in May 18, 1974. They raised four children together as loving and nurturing parents. He had always put the importance of family first as he worked to support his wife and children. John had also worked in the Hazard Elementary School district where he happily worked with the school teachers for about 15 years. He shared his kindness not only with his family but with other people who came into his life. He has always been seen as a lighthearted soul who taught us there are beautiful things in life we should cherish. John was also blessed to have a grandson Kevin and gave his love for him as he did for his family. His warm smile has made people around him feel at ease and created various friendships with those he cared. John passed away which broke so many hearts to those who loved him on May 6, 2013. He is now in peace with God where he can finally be with his wife, his other siblings, and other loved ones he had missed.
