Atkinson, NH:  John "Jack"' H. Hartmann, Jr., 62, a resident of Atkinson, NH died on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA.

Born in Haverhill, MA, son of John H. and Helena (Viens) Hartmann, he was raised and educated in Haverhill, MA.  Mr. Hartmann attened St. Joseph's School before attending Haverhill High School.  He graduated from Haverhill Trade School and Hesser College with his Associates Degree.  Mr. Hartmann worked for Wentworth Motors, Exeter, NH, as a Parts Manager.  

A member of the former St. Joseph's Parish in Haverhill, MA, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed time he spent with his family, especially at camp on Province Lake.  He also enjoyed boating, kayaking, hockey, watching his Boston Bruins and NASCAR, as well as trips to North Conway and days spent with his beloved Saint Bernard, Sassy.

Mr. Hartmann is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Diane (Williams) Hartmann; his parents, John and Helena Hartmann, Sr. of Haverhill, MA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Jessica Hartmann of Atkinson, NH, and Christopher and Jill Hartmann of Sandown, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Hartmann and Daniel Baumgartner of Epping, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Karen Hartmann of Cape Coral, FL; two grandchildren, Lauren and Elizabeth; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 14, 2013, from 4-8pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., (Plaistow Village), Plaistow, NH.  His funeral will begin on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM at All Saints Parish, Haverhill, MA.  Burial will take place directly after at Highland Cemetery, Newton, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718
