Joaquin Mendoza, 79, born August 16, 1943, passed away April 16, 2023 after a nine month battle with pancreatic cancer. He resided in La Verne, CA at the time of his passing. Joaquin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria; his four children Laura, Carol, Andrea and Joaquin; his beloved grandchildren, James, Grace, Benjamin, Candice, Maximiliano, Samuel, Alexandria and Cesar; his sons-in-law Cuahuthemoc Ureta and Cesar Mora; and by his brothers George and Mario Mendoza, his sister Martha Medina, and their families, and the nieces and nephews of his departed sisters, Anita Rojas, Consuelo Cabrera and Marina Garduno.
Words alone cannot begin to fully capture the profound impact our father made in his life, nor can they express the utter heartbreak we feel about losing him. It is by his actions, the way he lived, that he will be remembered. He was always ready and willing to help anyone who needed it. He worked hard and achieved every goal he had set for himself when he immigrated to the United States as a young man. He was consistently welcoming to anyone he met. He loved to see people having a good time, be it playing cards or billiards, sharing a cocktail, or dancing the night away. But most of all, he adored his family.
We will forever carry the light of his love in our hearts and will continue to live as he did, with unyielding generosity, verve, and joy.
We love you forever dad, cannot wait until we see you again.
