Joann M. Chase

Plaistow, NH:  Joann M. (Hardy) Chase, 81, of Plaistow, NH, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at her home.

Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Hardy.  Raised in Plaistow, she attended Pollard School and Haverhill High School, graduating with the Class of 1949.  She worked for Pollard School, Plaistow, NH for thirty-nine years as a Silent Sustained Reading Assistant and a Teaching Assistant.

She was a member of Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America.  Mrs. Chase enjoyed reading, going to the North Shore Music Theatre and was very devoted to her family.

The widow of the late Leroy Russell Chase, she is survived by a son and his fianc, Michael R. Chase and Jodi Shimanski of Newton, a daughter Linda M. Chase of Plaistow; two grandchildren, Tia C. Paul and her husband, Rick of Plaistow and Jason Chase and his wife, Terri of Raymond; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Xander, Alexa, Aubrianna, Alyvia; three step grandchildren, Andrea, Lauren and Rob DesRoches.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, December 21, 2012, from 3 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., (Plaistow Village), Plaistow, NH.  Her funeral will begin on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish.  Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow.
