Joan Carlene Walker, 89, born February 1, 1928 in Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2017, after a long illness. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane (Norman), and survived by daughter Sharon (James), sons Robert, James (Cathy) and John, and her brother William (Dorothy). She was also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her loving "grandma" ways. Mom was the most important member of our family and will forever be remembered and missed.
At mom's request there will be no memorial service.
