Joan Pauline Stewart

Joan Pauline Stewart, 86, born on October 24, 1930, in Compton, California, passed away July 31, 2017 at home in Lakewood, California, as she had always wished. Joan thoroughly enjoyed her family, fun, and laughter. Her perfect day was one spent with her kids and family 'celebrating anything.' Those who were close to Joan always felt loved and appreciated, and her caring was unending. She loved living in the mountains, and lived happily in Idyllwild for 20 years. Joan is survived by her four children: Patrick, Gilbert, Daniel, and Susan, and three grandchildren: Reva, Jessica, and Chrissy. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren and a very large extended family. Joan will be missed by all, as she was always the life of the party. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Long Beach, California. It is Joan's wish that those attending her memorial dress in casual Summer attire, and hopefully attend a party that celebrates her life.
