Joan G. (bart) Lazaro

Hampstead, NH: Joan G. (Bart) Lazaro, 81, formerly of Carriage Lane and Village Green Road, Hampstead, died on May 27, 2014 at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont.

Born Is New York City, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Marone) Bart, she attended Mt. St. Ursula Academy in the Bronx, and went on to attend to Assissium Business School.

Mrs. Lazaro worked at a receptionist at Underwood Corporation in New York City and for Diamond Match Company as a stenograph. She also worked as secretary to the Chair of the Theology Department at St. John's University in Jamaica, NY before moving to East Greenwich, RI, where she spent thirteen years before moving to Hampstead in 1987.

A member of St. Anne's Parish, she enjoyed knitting, reading, watching television, gardening, crossword puzzles, and drawing.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lazaro, and is survived by her sons, Robert Lazaro, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Purcellville, VA, William Lazaro and his wife Kim of Patchogue, NY, and Andrew Lazaro and his wife Clarisse of Ashburn, VA, a daughter, Nancy McMullen and her husband David of Hampstead, NH, nine grandchildren, Adam, Alana, Alyse, Amelia, Christopher, Tyler, Haley, Kathryn, and Samantha, six great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Madalyn, Alexander, Kevin, Mia Rose, and Michael, and all of her good friends at St. Anne's Parish. She was predeceased by her grandson, Ryan.

There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invite to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 3 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
