Joan Sweet Carter

Joan Sweet Carter, 78, born on November 8, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA, United States, passed away February 23, 2021. She resided in Burbank, CA at the time of her passing. Joan is leaving behind two sons & two daughters, twelve grandkids, a brother, and her husband of 42 years, Doug. In her life, Joan wore many hats as a caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, traveling companion, business partner, first mate, and a loving friend to many. Her presence on earth will be felt by many for a long time as she watches over us from above.

Joan will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 28th at 2pm at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive in Los Angeles CA, 100 feet from her beloved son Douglas John Sweet, who pre-deceased her. Following the service, the family welcomes guests to the Carter home at 2623 Joaquin Drive, Burbank CA for an afternoon celebrating Joan's life. Food and beverages will be served. Casual attire requested for the day.
