On September 28, 2014 Jim was called home to live in the House of the Lord, Jesus Christ, for eternity at the age of 100.
Jim is survived by his children, Jim Halley Jr., Robert Curtis Haley, Billy Ray Haley, Linda Haley, David Haley, William Haley, Shirley Haley Graham, Jimmy Haley, and Martha Haley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sons and his loving wife Essie Lee Haley.

Jim served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on.
After moving to Los Angeles, Jim began working for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
