It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jian Karlo Gabat, who left this world on April 22, 2025, at the age of 30. Born on February 20, 1995, Jian was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. His vibrant personality and infectious laughter filled every room, and his spirit resonated with an unmistakable warmth that drew people in.
Jian will always be remembered for his funny and outgoing nature—he had a remarkable gift for making others smile, often lighting up even the darkest of days with his kind words and jokes. Those who knew him were touched by his respectful demeanor and his genuine care for others. He had an incredible ability to make everyone feel valued and welcomed, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Jian is survived by his loving family, including his devoted Father, Ray Echon. He also leaves behind his brother, John Gabat, and stepmother, Raquel Echon, alongside his cherished mother, Loida Gabat. Jian was a proud and loving father to his son, Hendrick, who will undoubtedly carry forward his father's legacy of joy and love.
He now joins his late Grandfather, Papa Rod, whose memory will continue to be honored by those Jian leaves behind.
Jian's life was a tapestry woven with laughter, love, and cherished memories. As we gather to celebrate his life and the profound impact he made on us, we invite friends and family to join in visitation services held at Forest Lawn - Long Beach - Mission Room, starting at noon on May 16, 2025. A funeral service will follow that same day at the Memorial Chapel, commencing at 5:00 PM. Additionally, there will be a subsequent funeral service on May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Long Beach.
Though Jian has departed from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts, living on through the love and laughter he shared with us all. His legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire us every day.
