Mrs. Jewel Ann Carrel, 77, born on June 8, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, passed away January 13, 2013. She resided in Palm Springs, CA at the time of her passing. She is survived by her two sons including numerous grandchildren. She spent 20+ years of her life helping others while working as a nurse at various hospitals. She loved the simple things; sipping coffee on the patio on a beautiful spring morning, fishing a small lake with a bamboo pole, watching EWTN on television, watching her turtle Wally causing mayhem in her yard or just visiting with friends. With her strong Catholic faith almost every day she could be found at one of the local Catholic churches praying or attending mass.

Live simply, expect little, and give a lot was the philosophy Jewel abide by everyday of her life.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA.
