Jesus Nava Mendez, 38, was born on December 9, 1982, in Guerrero Mexico, passed away June 20, 2021, in Carson City, NV. Jesus was a beloved husband to his wife Ernestina Rivera and cherished father to his four children: Genivee Rivera, Manuel Rivera, Trinity Rivera, and Serenity Nava Mendez. He was the son of Rafael Nava and Victoria Mendez and brother to Maribel Riveros, Elizabeth Hernandez, Hugo Rivero, Salvador Vega, and Lucero Vega. Jesus was a graduate of Bell Gardens High School and earned an electrician certificate from Whittier Adult School. With his passion for shoes, he started a shoe restoration and customization company named MOPE KICKS. Before his death, he became a born-again Christian and found a new love in Christ. Jesus Nava Mendez was a great man who used his love for sports, art, music, and family to fuel his inspiration for life. He will forever be the man, the myth, the legend, and the raccoon.
