Jessie Rodriguez Gaeta, 90, born on July 18,1930 in Rosamond, CA passed away December 18, 2020. She resided in Nuevo, CA at the time of her passing. Preceded in death by her Parents; Severo Rodriguez and Pilar S. Rodriguez; her sisters Francis and Herlinda; her brothers; Mingo and Manuel. Jessie grew up in Stanton, CA where she went to school, and later married and started her family. She spent half of her life there, but eventually moved to the City of Hawaiian Gardens where she continued to raise her family. She was a residence there for more than 30 years. She later moved to the city of Norwalk where she could be closer to her family and spent the last 14 years of her life. Jessie is survived by her children; her daughters Stella, Betty, Della, Rosanne and Lisa; her sons Larry, Frank, David, Robert, Richard, and Dennis; 32 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren that she was fortunate enough to meet and know this past year.
Some of Jessie's favorite things to do was to read her bible (psalms was her favorite chapter), gardening (she had a very green thumb), running errands in her car (she loved so much because it took her to get the things she needed), listening to oldies, and keeping people entertained. She always appreciated the simple things in life. She was a very sharp person and quick to respond to anything. She had many quotes that pertained to everyday life like, "early to bed, early to rise", "a penny saved is a penny earned", "that's the way the pickle squirts", and so much more. She was always in tune with what was going on in the world and we loved that about her because she stayed connected with us no matter what generation we were.
Although she lived through rough times throughout her life, she still managed to have her doors open for any of her family until the very end. She was a strong, beautiful, funny, unique and interesting person that we were all fortunate to know and love. We will never meet anyone like her again. She has impacted every single person in her life. She will forever be missed on this earth. May she rest in peace with her beloved Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California and will be held on Wednesday January 6th, 2021. Memorial will start at 1:00pm followed by the burial ceremony.
