Jessica O'Rourke was born on August 30, 1984 in Potiskum Nigeria. Her parents, David and Mary Nesamony, were expatriate education officers in Nigeria at that time. Jessica grew up in Redlands, CA along with her parents and her older brother Dafry. Jessica passed away September 07, 2024. She resided in Monrovia, CA at the time of her passing.
Jessica had a happy childhood where she quickly became a decorated junior tennis player. She won many awards and tournaments and was a fierce competitor. After high school, she continued her studies at UC Irvine, where she played on their tennis team, and where she met her future husband Eddie O'Rourke. Jessica graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Women's Studies, and continued her studies at the University of San Francisco earning a Masters in Public Administration. Jessica worked at Blue Shield, Alameda County Food Bank, and Target as a store manager.
In 2012/2013, Jessica and Eddie moved back to the Los Angeles area where they were married at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Thereafter, they decided to start a family. In 2015, Olivia Marie O'Rourke was born, and in 2017, Isabella O'Rourke joined the club.
Jessica has always been a selfless person, and that was seen in the way she parented. Our children are a reflection of Jessica's kind heart, smart wit, and unyielding stubbornness. Jessica gave back to her community through the Methodist church as well as the PTA where she helped organize and execute many events and fundraisers. If anyone has ever gotten to know Jessica, she was always the one that took pictures of your kids without asking, or started a group chat about an issue at school. She had strong opinions, and stood up for her beliefs. Jessica was always there to lend a helping hand, or an ear to vent.
Jessica will be forever missed.
