Jerry Richardson Lao

Jerry Richardson Lao, 59, passed away September 5, 2018, after being diagnosed unexpectedly with cancer in July. He resided in Anaheim, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.


Jerry was born on February 1, 1959, in Manila, Philippines to Faustino Lao and Consolacion Castro. He immigrated to the United States in 1982. He married Maria Victoria Hawkins in 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked for many years as an assembler making galleys for airplanes. Jerry was an avid bowler and bowled two perfect 300 games during his life. He enjoyed sharing his love for bowling and helped teach others how to improve their skills.


Jerry is survived by his wife Maria Lao, children Jonathan Lao and Jennifer (Rodney Bautista) Lao, grandchildren Sidney Kelly-Lao and Thane Bautista, mother Consolacion Castro, and siblings Joey (Pinky) Lao, Beth Abelo, Liza Cabiling, and Emma (Danny) Gatchalian.
