Jerry (Gerald) William Journeay Jr.

Jerry (Gerald) William Journeay, 82, born on September 2, 1932, in Weymouth, Nova Scotia,Canada, passed away Apirl 3, 2015. He resided in Palm Springs, CA, at the time of his passing. Arrangments are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA., where a Celebration of his life will be held on April 21, at 3 pm. He was the oldest of ten children of Gerald and Evelyn (Gates) Journeay. Brother of (late) Vera Journeay, (late) Shirley Journeay, Ralph Journeay (Della), Reg Journeay, (late) Gordon Journeay (Lois), Donna Hansen (John), Barbara Journeay, David Journeay (Shelia) and Gary Journeay. Uncle of seventeen nephews and nieces, great uncle of twenty nine and great, great uncle of two. Surived by an Uncle, Richard Journeay and an Aunt, Olive (Gates) Hill.
Jerry travelled extensively throughout his life. He worked his way across Canada and at a young age arrived in Los Angeles, California where, he worked for the Santa Fe Railway in the ticket office for number of years. He eventually became a Tour Director at Globus Gateway and led group tours throughout the South Pacific and Southeast Asia, China and some countries in the Middle East. After retiring, he travelled to many different countries by air, rail (Orient Express) and cruises. He enjoyed skiing, tennis and attending the theatre. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
